Specialist from the National Statistics Office and from the  Euro-Mediterranean Centre on Insular Coastal Dynamics (ICoD) are currently building a digital "jigsaw puzzle" which will form the backbone of an ambitious agricultural survey called Agristat.

The exercise involves aerial photography covering the Maltese islands, physical imspections of a number of sites and even a headcount of livestock. More information on this project can be accessed here
