As part of the publications pertaining to Census2005 the NSO also published a CD which included a series of interactive maps. The maps depict the tabular data output in a digital visual format. They have been generated through a GIS product embedded in a multimedia application. The interface contains a lefthand-side menu for document/application launching, a central map area which one can click on to view data and a righthand-side interactive manipulation system for map and data generation as choropleths, and graduated formats.
The interactive map is highly interesting as the result is very easy to use. It allows users who have no knowledge of mapping to actually create their own maps and to save that data for their particular reports.
There are 99 maps to review, which maps enable users to create their own maps and extract the necessary information for their perusal.
